somewhere in the area of jackson and buchanon. the driver of that taxi cab got out and confronted the suspect. when he did so the suspect entered the taxi cab and stole and drove away with it. officers were able to locate that taxi cab in a patrol car around jackson and spruce but that taxi cab actually rammed into the patrol car and from what we understand there are shots fired in the area of jackson and spruce. the taxi cab was able to escape and was able to make it here to fort mason. from what we understand the suspect was taken into custody a short time later. a short time later this morning as well. back out here live again still a very active scene here in the fort mason area. again the suspect was taken into custody. from what we understand there is a police officer headed to the area of jackson and spruce. they may have quarantined off a three block area to take care of this possible shooting that may have happened out over in that area. but we'll have more details as the morning news continue temperature live in fort mas

we're near story and jackson and amador court. what we know right now is that apparently, one of the parents was recall waking up their -- warming up their car, which was a 2006 white cherokee. it was a jeep. their 11-month-old baby girl, gabrielle was inside. police don't know if she was strapped in. police say somebody came in here, stole the car with the little baby girl in the back seat and took off. so they've issued an amber alert for this jeep. we have 6 bwk 440 as the license plate number. and that's the license plate and the car they are looking for. we've not seen the parents out here in the neighborhood. we believe police are interviewing them right now. but again, a huge police response. we're trying to get more information from the lieutenant but the only other information that i have here about this 2006 white jeep that they are looking for, there is apparently two bumper stickers on the back rear windshield, baby bumper stickers. that may help anyone who sees this car to call police. more information coming up in te
